Ok I am glad everything worked out now. My incentive was not to cheat on Entrecard I was just writing about my experience with it.
I guess I should read posts more carefully but because I read so many on a single day I usually just skim them.
Anyway your blog is cool .. I am gonna comment on it tomorrow ;)

Hey, I appreciate the rewording :-) I've seen some really really shady methods of actually cheating Entrecard, and that was not at ALL my intentions. I read many many blogs when I go on my Entrecard dropping binges. On a day that I drop 300 cards, I probably leave about 10 comments on average.

And no, it's not that I don't want to scroll down and read the content, it's just that if the widget is past the fold, or even past the content, I may miss it if I'm not specifically looking for it.

I am sorry if I offended you. I re-read the article and I guess I missed some of the points you were making. For that reason I edited this article again.
It just doesn’t make sense to me to drop 20 cards per minute just to satisfy the people dropping on my page. When I visit a page I actually look at the web site and the articles on it.

I don’t argue that dropping cards in my niche is not the best place to drop them. I am just saying that by dropping in more “social” niches you get a lot more traffic and comments. Why? Because people write about social things and thus are more open to posting comments on other blogs.
If you find placing the widget at the bottom of the page annoying then this just shows that you are not really interested in the web site you are visiting because if you would you wouldn’t mind scrolling down.

So I guess you've missed the point of my article too ;)

I think you've taken away from the point of my article, and it seems you've missed the point of Entrecard altogether.

First of all, dropping cards in your "niche" is probably the best place to drop them. If I write a blog about web development, I'm much more likely to read another blog about web development than I am to read a blog about pet care.

Second of all, and I"m sure most Entrecard users will agree, having the widget at the bottom of the page is just annoying, and does NOT make me, or most, more likely to read your content. If I see an article title that interests me, I'll read it whether or not I even see an Entrecard widget.

Third of all, it's proper Entrecard etiquette to give a shout back to those who have dropped on you, and Entrecard even provides an RSS feed of your most recent 50 droppers. The article I posted about is to help you out with returning the favor (some people feel very strongly obligated) without taking an hour or two out of your day.

As a side note, I never would have dropped a card on your page because I only just now saw the widget when I decided to scroll and look for it because you mentioned it in this post.
