Leaving Entrecard

Should I leave Entrecard or stay? What does Entrecard have to offer that makes it valuable to me?! These were some questions I was asking myself lately.
I mean what good is it to stay in a blogging network that you are not using anyway?
After all the hassles I decided to stop using Entrecard and remove the widget from my blog. There were several reasons for me that caused this decision.
Reasons for Leaving Entrecard
Entrecard is a really cool blogging network but I am not sure if its right for everyone. The problems people are facing with Entrecard are numerous. One issue is the existence of a lot of malware on Entrecard blogs. Try it yourself, go on Entrecard and visit several blogs. Then use an anit-virus program to check your computer – your browser’s temporary data.
Another reason for me leaving Entrecard was that I wanted to create organic traffic. The problem here was that Entrecard itself does not create sustained traffic to your website. You usually only receive traffic through dropping cards on other blogs. By using Entrecard for several months I now came to the conclusion that it is much more important to let your website traffic grow normally even if it is going to take you longer.
By not spending much time on actively promoting your website you can focus much more on building unique content. This is actually the most important aspect of a blog.
In the end I do not want to discourage you from using Entrecard but it just doesn’t make sense for me to stay in a network that I am not using it at all.

When I first started using Entrecard the program worked amazing for what I needed it to do. No it’s simply full or spammer traffic and wasted bandwidth. The new paid ads I’m not a fan of. Seems if they were to go back to the roots of what Entrecard was suppose to be they would be doing much better!
I’m still using the service because it’s a great tool to meet people but most people have left like you!
It’s too bad the system had so much potential

Yeah, it’s really sad but the system is just full of flaws, for example all the web sites that are executing malicious code.
By the way Brian I just signed up for BlogEngage to see how it works and how much traffic it can send my way.
