Keys to Successful Blogging: Failure
Posted on 29. Jan, 2009 by Julius.
We are now on to number 4 of the Keys to Successful Blogging series. The first few parts covered persistence, gratitude, and simplicity as keys to become a better blogger.
In this article I am going to talk about failure and why it is so important.
Why do humans need to fail in order to be successful? Why is failure so essential?
First of all, think about how much you have learned through doing something the right way. Do you think you are going to use the same strategy again?
You did succeed so, yes, you are! You are going to use it over and over again, and now comes the important part, until you fail.
So what? You fail and then?
Failure as a Process
When you fail you really question your strategy. You question whether it was right to use it and why it made you fail. Not only are you challenging the route you chose to take but you are also questioning yourself.
This self-reflection is why failure is so important in blogging as it is in every day life.
When you fail you change your strategy, you admit that you have made a mistake and that you could do better next time. Ultimately failure is a process of learning and reflecting on yourself!
Kathy over at VirutalImpax created a fantastic post about failure and its importance. I recommend everyone to take a look at it since she really knows what she is talking about.
