Performancing Ads Review
Posted on 01. Feb, 2009 by Julius.
PerformancingAds is an ad network designed especially for bloggers. It serves the for blogging typical 125×125 advertisement.
The sign up process is very easy with the network. All you have to do is enter your required information, email, name etc. Then you will be notified by email and you can immediately log in and use the system.
Advertisement Placement
For advertisers to be able to place ads on your web site you first have to create a region. When creating a region you can choose how much you want to charge for a single ad per week or whether to use nofollow or dofollow. After having done that, all you need to do is to add the code to your web site. Then just wait for advertisement to be placed.
When an advertisement is placed on your blog you earn 60% of the price you charged for your region. The other 40% of course go to PerformancingAds. In my opinion though, it seems like there are not a lot of advertisers in the network.
In all the months I have been listed there, there was no single request for an advertisement placement. In fewer months in an another ad network I have received a lot more requests in comparison.
Exchange System
PerformancingAds is not very clear as to how the system works in its FAQ. I contacted the developer team and they told me how it works. First of all you start out with an initial 2,500 exchange credits according to the developers.
When you display an exchange ad you are credited with and 1 exchange
credit for every cent of the region price (your region). When you have an exchange ad and it is displayed on other sites, you
are charged 1 credit for every cent of the region price (their
region).
To place exchange ads, all you need to do is to create an ad in the exchange advertisement section. Afterwards your ad will be automatically placed on web sites similar to yours. Further your exchange credit balance will be shown in the Exchange Ads section. Your exchange ad will be placed as long as you have enough credits.
The negative aspect of the exchange ad system is that PerformancingAds could generally say that every ad is an exchange ad and through that avoid the cost of paying the blogger for his service. This is one of the main drawbacks about the network.
Another issue would be that you could set the price of your region to $100 and earn so many exchange credits that you would be able to place ads all the time on other publishers sites.
Affiliate System
Because the old affiliate system was full of problems, the developers implemented a new system:
Rather than a flat $10 you will get 5% of whatever your referrals buy or sell, ongoing while they remain a member.
So to make money through referrals you have to get people to sign up and buy or sell ads.
Conclusion
PerformancingAds is messed up at the moment and you really have to get used to the way it is organized. There are lots of issues that need to be fixed. The good news is that I talked to the developer team and they said they are implementing a more stable and secure system.

Did you read the article? Then you know what I think about it. I myself haven’t made money from it and it is also pretty messed up at the moment I think. You can try signing up but I am not sure if it’s worth it.
Also have you made money from Google Adsense since you put a lot of advertisement up on your blog?
By the way I would have commented on your blog but I just hate Blogger.com’s comment system. It is just strange.

No, I havent made money but yes I dream to earn because I have to continue my travel to continue writing on my blog.
If I am unable to earn I have to stop writing because then I wont be able to have writing travel stories.
And I like your honesty about what you like what you dont. Its ok. Hugs !!!

Ok so you need the money to continue your journal. Until a few months ago I didn’t earn any money either but at the moment I am making about $12 per month which is not that much but at least something. I am going to write about that ad network soon so you’ll be able to try it out.
I noticed that on your side you put a lot of advertisement on your sidebar. This is not such a bad idea but you will probably make more money if you put one Adsense ad banner at the end of each post. Also you have to know that usually you are only allowed one link ad unit and three content ad units per site. Further note that usually ads perform best on the top of the page, in the header. You might be more successful placing your link ad units up there. You should also know that usually visitors from search engines are the ones that are most likely to click on your ads.
I’ve written about most of this here is one article that might help you http://andbreak.com/2008/11/increasing-revenue-through-adsense-optimization/ . By the way are you getting a lot of visitors from search engines?
I really think it is a great idea to blog about your travel and try to make money through it
I hope you will make money soon and that you will be able to continue your travel. It took me over 6 months to make some money

Yes, I need little money to continue my travel writings. I am not here to earn & earn and spend on myself.
I am here to earn and spend on travel & travel to write more & more…
That is why I have recently put donation too on my blog.
You know I am doing serious blogging for the last 6 months but I am not happy in terms of my results though there is no problem with my hardwork as you can see. $12/month a dream for me.
No I am not getting a lot of visitors from seach engines.
Reason : I am not good in technical terms about running a blog nor I have money to invest. All I know is travel & write. Work hard and enjoy my work is what I know only. Rest God knows.
Thanks for writing.

hmm I understand your problem but putting more advertisement or donation buttons on your site will not help you in earning more, in my opinion. Try to change your Google Adsense ads to blend in well with the background.
Can you tell me exactly how many visitors you get and how many from search engines? I am actually not getting a lot of visitors either.
You can write about anything you like, you will always have an audience. So what do you like? What are your hobbies? You might as well write about them.
By the way it might help you if you changed the title of your website to let’s say “India – Blogging about Traveling Experience”. This will make search engines rank you better for terms such as blogging, traveling etc. because search engines pay a lot of attention to your title.
By the way you may also be better off using WordPress.com and create a blog there. Everytime you create an article it will be listed on a WordPress.com page and people will get to see it and probably click on it if they find it interesting. I also did get a lot more search engine traffic there. I just created an article about signing up so you can take a look at it.

Advertisements & Donations are upto visitors to click/donate.
Check I have done few changes to blend with the background.
But yes visitors are less, very less. Not even in thousands per day.
And yes, may be I have to think about the Title.
Wordpress I do not know. I am still learning blogging and if I will move to wordpress I will be confused. Most of the time in blogging too I am unable to understand technical terms. I wish to continue with blog only but yes, with visitors.
Thanks !
E.mail please if possible.
It is on site.
